Angela

Since the 1980’s Angela has worked in homeless shelters, drop in centres and supported housing units as a drug worker. Quickly moving up in the ranks, Angela became a successful consultant, which gave birth to the concept behind DiversityInCare.

Within time Angela become the go to consultant within the social care industry; gaining a reputation for delivering positive outcomes; resulting in her being commissioned by the London Boroughs of Hackney, Camden, Ealing, and organisations such as Turning Point, Carr-Gomm.

In 2005, after noticing the number of services failing to support people with complex needs, especially women with addictions; Angela founded DiversityInCare Ltd. The company became a registered charity in 2006.

“I wanted to set up a charity that would provide a service for the under-served and hard to reach communities. These services would not only provide the treatment needed but get to the root cause of the problem.”

Woman of the Year award nominee, Angela Edmondson continues to be an avid campaigner for support for people with complex needs, especially women; Angela is a certified NLP Practitioner.

Families

The family can often be overlooked; leaving damaging effects with many too embarrassed to seek help or at a loss at to where to get help. We help reduce or prevent further damage, by giving support and guidance to deal with the issues linked to an addiction.

Young Adults

Our services care for young men and women who have become parents, victims of sexual and physical violence, street homeless and/or have an addiction. We ensure they gain the confidence to create their own path.

Men

Our services will support men with a history of addiction and imprisonment. We listen to our male clients to learn what triggers their destructive behaviour; giving them the continuous support throughout their journey back to independence.

Our extensive knowledge of the issues linked to women, with a drug and alcohol addiction, enables us to quickly control a damaging situation without impacting the children, the local community and the tax payer.
